JAMES REMAR has appeared in more than 50 feature films, numerous television projects and on the New York stage. He has played historical figures such as 'Dutch Schultz' in THE COTTON CLUB, and 'General Omar Bradley' in IKE: COUNTDOWN TO D-DAY. Remar's most memorable performances include a streetwise gang kid in THE WARRIORS and the billionaire playboy 'Richard' in Sex and The City. Other notable film credits include 48 HRS., WHAT LIES BENEATH, DRUGSTORE COWBOY and 2FAST 2FURIOUS. Remar's work has been honored with an Academy Award® as the star of SESSION MAN, the 1991 recipient of 'Best Live Action Short Subject' and a SAG® Award for 'Best Ensemble Comedy Cast' for Sex and The City in 2001. Most recently, Remar completed the Judd Apatow comedy PINEAPPLE EXPRESS directed by David Gordon Green, and stars in the futuristic feature TRANSBEMAN taking place in 2021, directed by Richard Kroehling. Remar was also seen in the recent feature, THE UNBORN with Gary Oldman and Odette Yustman and directed by David Goyer. This December, Remar's fans will see a side of him they haven't before as he stars opposite Madeleine Stowe as a father trying to cope with the loss of his son and disintegration of his marriage in Lifetime's The Christmas Hope, the third installment of the hit The Christmas Shoes and The Christmas Blessing trilogy.
